Children’s chess clubs in Sofia and Pernik 6

These are the clubs whose tournaments or players’ lists show children taking part. CSKA plays its cup in age groups on weekends from December to May, and also ran the “Cup Sofia” children’s tournament in January 2026. ELIT, a children’s educational centre in the Ilinden complex with a chess club of the same name, numbers its series: the edition dated October 2026 is the seventeenth, and it adds a Christmas tournament and a family tournament.

An Pasan holds its own club cup for children and a “Young Champions” day in the KOOP hall; Velikova played two “Young Champions” tournaments there in May 2025. Players of Slavia appear in the Cup Sofia lists. In Pernik, Krakra Pernishki runs the national under-twenty championships in the Palace of Culture. No page states fees, class times or an age from which a child may start, so the cards leave these questions open.
